Report
For over 20 years (1955–1976) Joachim Kroll murdered women and children in West Germany's Ruhr area. He was caught in 1976 when a neighbour complained of a blocked toilet and Kroll himself hinted at what might be clogging it. Police found human remains in his flat. Sentenced to life in 1982 for eight murders, he died in prison in 1991.
