Jeffrey Dahmer murdered 17 men and boys between 1978 and 1991, most of them in his Milwaukee apartment. He committed his first killing at 18 in Ohio. He was arrested in July 1991 after one of his intended victims escaped and alerted the police. He received 15 consecutive life sentences. In 1994 he was killed in prison by a fellow inmate.
