Report
Throughout the 1980s and 1990s Gary Ridgway murdered women in Washington State, leaving his first victims in the Green River. For over 30 years he worked as a truck painter and led a quiet life. He was arrested in 2001 thanks to advances in DNA testing. In a plea deal that spared him the death penalty, he admitted to 48 murders (later a 49th). He is serving life without parole.
