Report
Ed Gein lived alone on a farm in Plainfield, Wisconsin. He murdered two women (in 1954 and 1957) and exhumed bodies from local cemeteries. After his arrest in 1957, investigators found objects made from human remains in his house. Found legally insane, he spent the rest of his life in psychiatric institutions and died in 1984. His case inspired, among others, “Psycho” and “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre”.
